‘Erta Poggio della Bruna’ Rosso from the Paolo and Lorenzo Marchionni winery is a strong and tasty pure Sangiovese made near Florence. The word “Erta” means steep climb, just like the vineyards of this company. Erta therefore, for Paolo and Lorenzo Marchionni, is the name of the wines of two Crus: Poggio della Bruna from only Sangiovese and Trebbiano grapes. Both come only from the best grapes; select row by row in the best plots. Bottled only in the best vintages. The alcoholic fermentation takes place spontaneously in concrete tanks, while the refinement lasts 18 months in wooden barrels and 15 months in the bottle. The sip is warm, enveloping, fruity and with a long finish.
